a breakaway from the NOW

Sometimes….. (Idle moments) when it hits me how complex our lives have become….then I wish... I was born say... 2 generations ago….the black and white times……everything would have been little simpler…..

Imagine, people would have been more original….

Lesser needs (not wants I guess) ….hence no rush to earn more….. Hence one could ease off a lill by the end of the day…

Letters and not emails...

No suffocation in the name of fashion

You could choose arts over science even if you performed well

Knowledge was divine…. Not street smartness

Modesty.

More aware about neighborhood, past, nature.

They valued their identity (or so I believe)

It wasn’t gay for a guy to wear jholas in his shoulders.

We didn’t need gyms. We didn’t need perfect bodies.

Their lifestyles took care of their fitness.

And most importantly… we believed in simple pleasure of life. Example- rain

Now… damn! Who has the time? We are in air conditioned cages!

P.S.: It’s from the eyes of a romantic.

May be fashion did exist.

May be money did matter.

There were fakes too.

Vainglorious men did exist. (I agree that’s sexist!)

But this is how I imagine past to be like…

Probably the utopian one.
the vice called 'all words and no action'
how to over come it?

‘You're out on the streets looking good, and baby,
Deep down in your heart I guess you know that it ain't right’

-          Piece of my heart, Janis Joplin

If you were thinking that’s what this blog is about, it’s a big NO. Just that I find Joplin interesting and the title of her song quite suitable for my blog.

Well…

I love writing….and in the past… one and a half years…. I had lost touch with the writer side of me...

So here is an earnest attempt for a comeback…the last blog of mine expressed the poet in me,

Whereas here... I wish to type down various thoughts…random most certainly (coherence would be taken care of!) that come across my mind... inspired or just out of nowhere….

Hope you have a good ride!
